The oldest profession in the city is said to be furniture making and wood-carving. Providing many Angeleños a source of livelihood, this industry is a pride of the city.
Angeles is a top producer of world-class furniture in the country, especially wicker rattan furniture. In the past, most of the furniture manufacturers cater to the demands of the Americans who once stayed in Clark Airfield. Now, many of the companies have expanded their market not only locally but also overseas.
Rattan furniture manufacturing is thriving in this part of the Philippines despite of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption several years ago, leaving of the Americans who were once patrons of the local products, and the global recession. Makers produce export-quality furniture. There are large companies in the business; however there are more small- to mid-sized companies that produce equally beautiful and high-quality furniture pieces like wicker rattan furniture. Our company, for instance, is a small company; however we value our workers, who possess the remarkable skills and craftsmanship at par with the world's best.
When you buy from us or from any of the rattan furniture manufacturer in Angeles City, you are not only helping the company but you are helping those people whose jobs rely on the industry.
